Вот не даёт мне покоя одна идея, использования APRS на КВ с суфиксом /АМ, т.е. RX3AOE-7.
Идея в том, чтобы использовать штатную КВ-станцию, да так, чтобы трекер питался от гнезда микрофона.
То есть Микрофонный Штекер > Трекер > GPS (Serial) и всё.
Станцию настроить на 14.103 Mhz и чтобы больше меня ни чего не отвлекало от работы, а дома смотрим логи.
Ниже привожу описание железки как кандидата для этих целей.
Хотелось услышать советы и мнения.

MODES OF OPERATION
Note: The TigerTrak TM-1 supports only the Tracking mode. The TM-1+ supports the Tracking mode and the other modes listed below. Commercial users requiring special modes are encouraged to consult the factory for a quote.
Tracking - This mode can easily be configured for APRSо operation. In this mode, packets are transmitted when the Push-To-Talk button is released ("mic encoding") or when the automatic transmit timer activates (auto mode). This mode supports up to ten different "profiles". Each profile can have its own SSID, Digi Path, Symbol, Prefix, Separator, Transmit Timer Interval, Transmit Delay and Tail Delay.
Telemetry - This mode was designed for remote data collection and can be used with almost any device that transmits serial data. This function is well suited for "Weather Station" applications. In this mode the TM-1+ collects up to 105 bytes of data and then transmits it as a UI packet. Transmission of the data can be triggered by reception of a user-selectable termination character (i.e. CR) or by buffer overflow. An automatic transmit timer can be set so that the latest data is transmitted at a user-defined interval.
NMEA - This mode was designed primarily for GPS tracking applications, where an entire NMEA sentence needs to be sent. However, this mode can also be used in any application where the data is preceded by a known header (up to six bytes), and terminated with a known character (like a Carriage Return). In this mode the TM-1+ can transmit full NMEA strings received on its serial port. Up to three headers can be entered for sequential transmission. A transmit timer can be set so that data is transmitted at a user-defined interval, rather than from an external trigger. Like the Tracking mode, this mode also supports up to ten different "profiles". In this mode, each profile has its own SSID, Digi Path, Transmit Timer Interval, Transmit Delay and Tail Delay.
Можно использовать этот режим для трекинга в реальном времени используя напрямую OziExplorer или NavGPS Pro или Flight Star.

Alarm - This mode was designed for remote alarm monitoring. In this mode the TM-1+ continuously monitors multiple alarm inputs. If the state of any of the lines matches a user-specified alarm condition (configurable), then an alarm message is immediately transmitted. The alarm message is retransmitted a specified number of times at intervals determined by a transmit timer. Each alarm input line can have its own unique alarm message.
Beacon - In this mode the TM-1+ transmits a user-defined beacon message of up to 70 characters, at an interval determined by the transmit timer.
