Distributed via QRZ DX, the following info is made public concerning future amateur radio operations on Palmyra Island. Not all detail is published but rather the most relevant part pertaining to access, dates, interested groups:

“Aloha,

You are receiving this email because over the last year you have inquired about Amateur Radio operations/HAM Radio operations on Palmyra Atoll. Working with the US Fish and Wildlife Service we have developed a plan to accommodate these requests and are able to offer a maximum of two such trips in Winter 2016.

Our goal is to facilitate access to The Nature Conservancy’s preserve on Cooper Island at Palmyra Atoll in a manner that is fair, and with minimal impact to the preserve and station operations. Please see the attached application for trip dates, application and deposit due dates and guidelines.

Please contact me with any questions. If you are no longer interested in a trip to Palmyra Atoll but know of a group that is, please feel free to forward this email and application.

Печально, что никто не знает про эту экспедицию . Нужна для DXCC. Может быть позже, что станет известно. 73!

Если я не ошибаюсь, там менеджменту острова нужно порядка 100 К USD занести, чтобы поработать с острова. Они именно такой "входной билет" установили. Поэтому и тишина пока... В свете доп расходов по логистики и организации... Ценник приближается к стоимости суровой антарктической поездки...

Спору нет , удовольствие не дешевое. Но в рейтинге востребованности тоже стоят высоко. Просто в их посте как-то без информативно было написано. Прорабатывается и все. А когда-2015, 2016 гг не ясно. В тоже время в Честерфильд зачастили. Я не думаю, что там дешевле. .....а с перломутровами пуговицами есть-нет, будем искать , а мы ждать ....:s7:
