Новые элементы в аккумулятор: как
I have theoretic question: can I plug in notebook battery new elements, different to old, but with same composition?
Accumulator unit designed for SHARP Mebius PC-RJ900V notebook, and it have 9 elements of type HR 4/3FAU 1.2 V 4500 mAh, manufactured by SANYO (total 10.8 volts). Their composition is NiMH. I want to replace this elements with R20 (D) 1.2 V 7000 mAh, manufactured by Camelion; and I do not know, will the protection and charging system charge this battery to its full load (7000 mA)? The internal accumulator circuit have few pins for connector and small amount of chips (I think it is stabilizer circuit). Circuit connected with battery by two wires, which have difference of potentials of 10.8 volts. All cells in unit connected consecutively.
And one more question: if this replacement is possible, can I repeat it on older notebooks models as Toshiba, Compaq and other (even if I will able only to charge cells in SHARP unit, then discharge in another).Последний раз редактировалось zagrobski; 23.07.2007 в 13:53. Причина: I has edited it to fix mistake, but after I can't see russian letters

You can replace elements in your battery, but it will charge about 1.5 times longer, than your old battery. Charging circuit will charge all new elements completely. This replacemet is possible when your new elements are similar with old el-nts.
Удачи. Андрей.
